    Upon completion of the online reservation for a virtual survey, you, as well as your potential client, will receive an email confirmation for the date and time of the survey, along with a link to click and join the private session of the virtual survey. If the reservation is done several days or more prior to the meeting date, you and your potential client will also be receiving a reminder via email about 24 hours prior to the planned Virtual Survey time. It is highly recommended to join the private session by clicking on the link provided in the email about 10-15 minutes ahead of the scheduled time, simply to make sure that everything is functioning properly "technology wise" from your side. In most cases, a V-View Surveyor will be in the private session "room" already waiting to start the online meeting for the virtual survey with your potential client.
  • Is there a difference in price for a Virtual Survey with V-View based on the size of the potential client home?
    Yes. Prices are determined based on several size ranges of homes. You may learn more about it on our rates page.
  • How much time in advance do I need to schedule an online Virtual Survey with the V-View team for the potential client?
    The V-View team is very flexible and tries to accommodate as many clients as possible in their own requested time frame. Sometimes, surveys may be performed the same day or within 24-48 hours of initial inquiry.
  • When am I being charged for the Virtual Survey?
    You will be charged for the survey at the time of reservation, only after your agreed date and time has been confirmed by V-View.
  • Does my potential client need to start measuring the items of their home while the Virtual Survey is being performed?
    No. Your potential client do not have to constantly measure the items during the Virtual Survey. However, rarely, the virtual surveyor may ask for some additional clarification regarding an item they are uncertain about, therefore having a tape measure easily available during a virtual survey may indeed assist in clarifying an item, but again, it is absolutely not a requirement.
  • Can my potential client change items from their inventory list later on after completion of the survey?
    The Online Virtual Survey is done in order to provide you and your potential client with a full, detailed report that will take all uncertainty out of the loop. In order to truly succeed in doing that, we highly recommend the client to show the Virtual Surveyor everything in the home, even items that they consider questionable for the relocation. V-View will be able to provide you details in the final report about all the items in question, so your potential client will be able to decide later on if they would want to take those items with them or not. Those items will be logged separately to make it easy to be quoted as an additional part of the shipment.
  • Does anyone from our company needs to be also present at the Virtual Survey?
    No. You absolutely do not need to be part of the survey. All the details presented on a survey report will be e-mailed directly to both, the company and the potential client.
  • My potential client has a really small home. Is it even worth it having a Virtual Survey done?
    Accuracy and a neutral opinion are always very important, no matter the size of the home. Inaccuracy in estimated volume and weight may cost your potential client, a few to many hundreds of dollars more, even on a very small relocation job, especially when their shipment is sent overseas. We are sure you do not want to have any non necessary arguments about this subject later on with your client.
  • Do I or my potential client need to estimate anything ourselves or prepare anything before the scheduled online survey?
    You both do not need to estimate anything but please make sure that your potential client have their smartphone or tablet fully charged. It is very important for your potential client to be present at the virtual survey and cooperative with the V-View Relocation Surveyor in order to make the survey a success and to have a very accurate and detailed report in your hands after completion of the live video meeting.
  • Alright! So how does this Virtual Survey really work?
    While conducting the virtual survey, the V-View Surveyor will "walk through" the entire home with your client’s assistance, by the clients showing the surveyor the items and goods that they plan on relocating. It is extremely important that they show the surveyor each and every item, going through each room or area very slowly. Remember that this survey is completed in no rush conditions by the V-View Surveyor, so please make sure with your clients not to rush themselves either! The great success of this virtual survey relies on its accuracy, which is achieved mainly by having it done in a comfortable and slow paced environment, to allow the V-View Surveyor to document everything they "see" in the best possible way.
  • So let me understand this clearly, someone is actually viewing the inside of my potential client's home?
    Yes. A V-View survey is done remotely, through a live video meeting. Simply said, a V-View relocation surveyor will interact with your potential client through cameras on their smartphone or tablet and on a computer from the surveyor’s side. They will see each other, and during the survey, the V-View relocation surveyor will see the items inside your potential client’s home, as they point the smartphone or tablet camera toward the items - furniture, appliances, closets with clothing and shoes, shelves with books and any other item that needs to be relocated.
  • Who is responsible to schedule?
    The Relocation company manager / administrator is responsible to schedule the virtual survey with V-View on behalf of the relocation company's potential client.
  • How the scheduling process works?
    Once ready for scheduling the virtual survey with V-View, the company representative - manager / administrator, will receive from their potential client 2-3 date / time slots that work best for the potential client. At that point, a survey can be scheduled from here . The representative will be guided throughout the reservation process, step by step. Please make sure that you do indicate the required details about the potential client - first name, last name and e-mail when asked during scheduling. Upon conclusion of scheduling ,you will receive an e-mail confirmation about the reserved virtual survey. Your potential client as well as yourself will be contacted via e-mail with more details and confirmation.
  • What happens after my potential client finish showing everything to the V-View surveyor?
    Upon completion of the Virtual Survey of your potential client home, they can ask any general informative questions they may have in regards to the continuation of the whole process. Once the virtual meeting is completed, you will receive an email a short time later with a detailed report of the survey that was done. The report will include a variety of parameters that will make it extremely convenient for you to rely on this report and to provide your potential client with a very accurate relocation quote based on the details from the Virtual Survey. Presenting the potential client with a very accurate rate quotation makes it easier for them to choose your services and be assured that no surprises with raise later on.

    Once the detailed survey report is sent to you via email, you may contact multiple relocation (moving) companies and ask them for rate quotations based on the summarized figures received from V-View. The figures will detail the estimated volume and weight that was surveyed (virtually viewed) during your online survey and relocation (moving) companies will be able to offer you a rate quotation, often a binding rate quotation, based on the provided survey report.
  • Can I change items from my inventory list later on after completion of the survey ?
    The Online Virtual Survey is done in order to provide you with a full, detailed report that will take all uncertainty out of the loop.
