For many years, I've been deeply involved in the relocation industry, managing local, interstate, and international projects. My primary focus has been on household goods and personal effects.
Throughout my career, particularly when working on remote projects, I've often needed to survey homes with the assistance of other relocation companies and surveyors. Sometimes, these collaborations were smooth and accommodating. However, more often than not, I encountered expensive surcharges and a lack of cooperation from remote relocation companies, which was frustrating for me and unfair to clients simply because they lived in remote locations.
A couple of years ago, I met a friend in my community who had just launched a company pioneering in the web conference industry. His new technology quickly became a market leader. It didn't take long for the idea to click: we could start providing remote surveys to clients, whether they were across the street or across the globe. Video conferences or online meetings became the perfect solution for clients who needed a professional survey but were either too far away or faced other challenges in getting a traditional relocation survey done.
As technology advanced, mobile devices like smartphones and tablets became fully capable of handling these remote surveys. Gone were the days of needing bulky notebooks or netbooks—now, a smartphone or tablet was more than sufficient.
As a veteran in the relocation industry, I had witnessed fierce competition and often misleading information given to clients. This misinformation caused unnecessary stress and frustration for those just trying to get accurate relocation details.
This experience inspired me to develop V-View, a third-party and neutral way of conducting relocation surveys—virtually. Our primary goal is to provide clients with accurate information from a non-relocation company perspective, eliminating the need for multiple physical surveys and helping clients find the best deals and companies that suit their needs.
With V-View, clients can now receive a virtual relocation survey at their convenience. After the survey, they receive a detailed report, which can be submitted to several relocation companies to obtain accurate rate quotations. This process is less energy-consuming and highly efficient, benefiting both clients and relocation companies alike.
Through V-View, we aim to make the relocation process smoother, more transparent, and more accessible for everyone involved.
